Isaiah's College Football Predictions (Week 11)
Welcome back to my series that I will continue doing for the rest of the college football season! I will predict the 3 biggest games in college football each week! This is the biggest week in College Football. There are 2 matchups of undefeated teams this week so lets get right into it.
Iowa vs. Wisconsin
Wisconsin is not terrible. They have a bad loss to Illinois, but their only other loss was to what the committee thinks is the best team in the nation. Jonathan Taylor is the best running back in college football, playing behind a top 3 offensive line in college football. That in and of itself is a recipe for success. The ability to run the ball at a high level is what makes Wisconsin a threat for a New Years Six bowl game every year. With that being said, if Wisconsin does want to make a New Years Six bowl game this year, then they will have to win this game, they cannot afford to have 3 losses in 4 weeks. Wisconsin wins this game by 10.
Penn State vs. Minnesota
A battle of the undefeated in the Big Ten. This game will define Minnesota's season. With a win, they could be seriously considered for playoff implications. With a loss, they could be banished to the deep depths of the Citrus Bowl. Penn State needs to win this game, if they don't it isn't the end of the world though as number 1 ranked Ohio State is still on their schedule, and a win there, would be monumental for them to make the playoff. Both teams know how big this game is for them, they both know that it is a must-win game. If this game was in Happy Valley, it would be an easy pick. It is very hard to go into Happy Valley and win. This game however, is not in Happy Valley. It is in the cold of Minnesota, this is weather that the Minnesota players are used to, Penn State players may not be ready for the snow. Either way, Penn State is a better team. The only way that Minnesota wins this game, in my opinion is if the weather gets to Penn State, I see Penn State winning by 7 in a low-scoring, sloppy game that produces more than 4 turnovers combined.
Alabama vs. LSU
Game of the year. I said it. It is the game of the year, number 2 vs number 3. You guys all know that I am an Alabama fan, so there is bias involved. However, Joe Burrow hasn't played a defense that has half of the talent of Alabama (yes, I know that they played Florida and Auburn's sorry defenses). Tua is still a game-time decision. I cannot see a scenario in which he does not play. Everybody knows that Alabama needs this game in order to make the College Football Playoff. Everybody also knows that Tua's status is questionable. The reports from Alabama all week has been that his throwing is fine, but he isn't as mobile as he usually is. This could prove to become an issue because LSU's front 7 isn't a joke. Alabama also has a young and inexperienced offensive line, which may prove to hurt them in this game. Alabama wins but because Grant Delpit and LSU's secondary won't be able to handle Alabama's receiving core of Jeudy, Waddle, Ruggs III, and Devonta Smith. This will make it easy for Tua, he won't have to make as many plays with his legs as you would think he could. (Remember last year he ran 44 yards for a touchdown against LSU on a limp knee, good times). I don't think that LSU's offense is what everybody says it is. That is why Alabama wins 45-21.
Last Week: 2-1
And that concludes my predictions in College Football this week! Make sure to tune in next week for my predictions!
